India’s Total Forex Reserves at an all-time High

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) released data related to forex reserves on 19th July 2024. According to RBI, as-of 12th July 2024, India’s Total Forex Reserve was $666.85 billion. The reserves went up mainly due to the increase in the value of foreign currency assets. The value of foreign currency assets jumped by more than $8 billion in one week to touch an all-time high of $585.47 billion. This is the seventh consecutive week when the total forex reserves was over $650 billion. The value of Gold in reserves has also up by $1.2 billion in a week.

Since the beginning of the year, the value of total forex reserves has gone up by more than $46 billion.
